Dallas Mavericks Trade Luka Doncic To The Lakers

Lakers Pull a Magic Trick to Land Luka Doncic From The Mavs

A bustling Saturday night of sports concluded with an exciting finish. Around 11:30 PM CST, Shams Charania announced that the Luka Doncic project had ended in Dallas. The Mavericks decided to trade their star player to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis and others. This is probably the trade of the decade, and the Lakers upgraded their roster to contenders in the snap of a finger.

This is an insane trade, considering Luka Doncic is only 25 years old and averaging 28.1 points per game this season. The Mavs were concerned about Luka’s conditioning, which raised doubts about a long-term deal with the star. Anthony Davis is 31 years old and can’t seem to stay healthy enough to play an entire season or go deep in the playoffs. In our opinion, the Lakers got the better end of the deal, and the Mavs will probably go into rebuilding mode in the next few seasons.

X and the entire NBA couldn’t believe this trade because Luka will play next to LeBron for the remainder of the season making them legitimate contenders. There’s no doubt the Lakers front office pulled one of the best trades ever and we don’t know if things will work out. LeBron is difficult to play with and Luka demands the ball at all times. On paper the Lakers might be contenders but we still need to see if this trade will work this season. LeBron just turned 40 so he needs all the help he can get and Luka might be the guy that can stay healthy and get him 28 + points a night. For now Lakers fans have a reason to celebrate and we will see if this trade will work for the organization.

Here are the full details of the trade:

Lakers get: Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, Markieff Morris
Mavericks get: Anthony Davis, Max Christie, 2029 LAL 1st Round Draft pick
