Nathan’s Famous July 4 Hot Dog Eating Contest

First and foremost, Happy 4th of July.

It’s that time of the year when Joey Chestnut defends his title in the Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest. He has won 15 of the 16 last Independence Day contests and comes in as the heavy favorite again this year. Last year he crushed 63 hot dogs in 10 minutes and he looks to repeat or break his record of 76 hot dogs.

On the female side, the defending champion Miki Sudo looks to defend her title and comes in ranked in the No. 1 spot. She was able to put down 40 hot does last and holds the women’s world record with 48.5 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

Great annual event to get your 4th of July. Be safe today.
