Lil Wayne and The Roots Perform Live on Saturday Night Live’s 50th Anniversary Show
There was a lot of talk on why Lil Wayne didn’t get the halftime Super Bowl show this year. He has the discography, and since the game was in New Orleans, it felt right for him to get the chance to perform. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen, and hopefully, one day, the legendary rapper gets his chance at the big game.
Saturday Night Live held its special 50th anniversary show tonight and brought out all the stars. Lil Wayne was invited as the musical guest with help from The Roots to perform a medley of his legendary bangers. There’s no doubt Weezy has the hits to perform at the Super Bowl, but his live show needs some fine tuning if he ever gets the shot at the big event. Overall, seeing him perform with The Roots in the background is nice. Check out the performance below.
