UFC 316: Dvalishvili vs O’Malley 2 Preview + Odds
Dvalishvili vs. O’Malley 2: Underdog or Upset?
After a one-week break, the UFC returns with a stacked card at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, headlined by two title fights.
In the co-main event, Kayla Harrison makes her long-anticipated title run as a heavy -750 favorite against current Women’s Bantamweight Champion Julianna Peña. While the odds may seem disrespectful to the reigning champ, Harrison has looked unstoppable since her UFC debut. This fight likely won’t go the distance — and we may see a new champion crowned in the bantamweight division.
The main event features a rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley. Their first meeting in September ended in a dominant decision win for Merab, and the oddsmakers clearly believe in a repeat performance, listing him as a -325 favorite. Still, O’Malley’s skill set and improved focus make this a potential upset if he’s firing on all cylinders.
On the undercard, Kelvin Gastelum returns to face Joe Pyfer in a compelling middleweight matchup. Mario Bautista takes on Patchy Mix, while Vicente Luque kicks off the main card against the always-dangerous Kevin Holland.
