Air Jordan 11 x Comme des Garçons: What’s New
The Air Jordan 11 is arguably the best design Tinker Hatfield ever made for Michael Jordan. Since it first hit the court in 1995, it stood out for its shiny patent leather mudguard, and it just looked cool every time MJ dunked in them. Now the iconic silhouette gets its official fashion upgrade, linking up with Comme des Garçons for two colorways built around a glossy-finished patent leather midsole, a first for the model, that extends the shine of the original uppers even further.
The upper panels also get a premium full-grain leather upgrade, paired with minimalist Comme des Garçons and Jumpman branding placed on opposing sides for a more understated, high-fashion look than past AJ11 special editions.
The shoe arrives in shiny Black and White colorways, carrying SKUs IV7639-001 and IV7639-100, and retails for $358, a step up from standard AJ11 releases given the upgraded materials. It’s set to drop September 5, and we expect this one to be very popular and hard to get once it lands.
