Aspinall Dominates, Belal Muhammad Stuns Leon Edwards to Win Welterweight Title At UFC 304

UFC 304

It was a strange night at UFC 304. The fights started at 3:00 AM Manchester, UK time. The crowd’s energy seemed to wane at times, likely due to the late hour but the show went on. In the main card, Paddy Pimblett shined against King Green, putting him to sleep early in the first round. This proves Paddy might be ready for a title shot and he is the real deal.

In the co-main event, Aspinall also took care of business and knocked down Curtis Blaydes early to retain the interim Heavyweight Championship. This possibly sets up a mega-fight against Jon Jones for that title. Once Jon Jones heals up, we feel he will take that fight and make another run at that belt. This will be very interesting.

In the main event, Leon Edwards didn’t show up and was completely dominated by Belal Muhammad. Leon had no answer to Belal’s strength and takedowns. Leon almost looked like he was impacted by the time difference, but there are no excuses in this sport. After going the distance, Belal Muhammad is the new Welterweight Champion and we would like to see this fight again during regular times. Congrats to Belal on winning the title.
