JAY-Z Releases New Version of “Empire State of Mind” With Gil Scott-Heron

JAY-Z was in Paris this weekend for an exclusive performance at the Louis Vuitton Foundation. The event was for the Basquiat x Warhol. Painting Four Hands exhibition and JAY blessed the attendees with a performance.

He performed his deep discography for the crowd and today he unveiled a new version of his classic song “Empire State Of Mind” with Alicia Keys. The song now features a mash-up of Gil Scott Heron’s 2010 “New York Is Killing Me” to create a version dubbed “New York (Concept de Paris)”.
