Nike is bringing back a Kobe gem from 2014 with the Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “Philippines.” The colorway honors the deep passion for basketball throughout the Philippines and takes inspiration from the banig, the traditional Filipino craft of weaving that promotes unity. A distinct multi-color print designed by Erick Goto wraps the engineered mesh upper, with a red base and geometric blue, black, and yellow accents. The pair first arrived in 2014 as a Twitter-exclusive release.

The engineered mesh keeps the upper breathable and lightweight, while a carbon fiber plate in the outsole provides strong yet lightweight lateral stability. Multidirectional tread with updated traction gives you the grip your game demands. It joins a busy run of Kobe revivals, following the Air Force 1 Low Protro “Dodgers” and Air Force 1 Low Protro “Denim.” It’s a colorful grab to wear this holiday season and show off to the family. The “Philippines” is set to release Holiday 2026 at $190, with grade school sizing at $120. Check out the release information and images below.
