Oleksandr Usyk Defies the Odds to Become Undisputed Champion

Fans enjoyed 12 rounds of outstanding boxing. Oleksandr Usyk didn’t back down from the much taller Tyson Fury and went 12 rounds with him to win by split decision. In the early rounds, it looked like Fury was going to win this one and eventually knock Usyk down. But the Ukrainian was relentless and stayed in the fight almost knocking down Fury in the 11th round.

The 11th round won Usyk the fight, and Tyson Fury was close to putting this one away. The judges seemed to see it this way based on the split decision. With the decision Oleksandr Usyk becomes the first Heavyweight Undisputed Champion since 1999.
