Tyler, The Creator Officially Drops New Album ‘Chromakopia’

Tyler, The Creator had an interesting rollout leading up to the release of his eight studio album Chromakopia. He said he was dropping it on a Monday and did just that, breaking the new norm of dropping projects on Friday. Tuesdays used to be the day’s music dropped, but the Billboard and the music industry decided to change the day to Fridays.

With today’s society, it doesn’t make sense to drop music on Fridays anymore because of all the sporting events going on, and nightlife is not what it used to be. So Tyler might be on to something, and we will see how the project does. So far, Tyler hasn’t unveiled the list of features but we expect this project to put solid numbers on a short week. Update (2026): Following the success of Chromakopia, Tyler, The Creator has officially released “THAT GUY” on streaming services. The fan-favorite freestyle, originally shared on Christmas Day 2024 over Kendrick Lamar’s “hey now” beat from GNX, is now available on all major platforms.
