UFC 297: Sean Strickland vs. Dricus du Plessis Preview + Odds
UFC 297 heads to Toronto, Canada for the first PPV event of 2024. The outspoken Sean Strickland will defend his Middleweight title against South African Dricus du Plessis. There has been a lot of trash talk leading up to this fight and these two even got into it in the stands at the last Fight Night.
Sean Strickland is a warrior and the two fighters are very similar in age, height, and reach. This will be a very interesting fight and if Dricus du Plessis is able to get Strickland on the ground he will be able to take that belt from him. Strickland likes to pressure fighters and get dirty. Dricus needs to be able to use his weight and slow him down. We feel there will be a new champion in this division after tonight.
In the co-main event, Raquel Pennington is looking to get another title shot in the Women’s Bantamweight division. But Mayra Bueno Silva has looked strong in her last few fights and comes in to this one -170 favorite on the moneyline.
A very good card tonight in Toronto and the crowd will be electric as always.
