It’s that time of year again, NBA 2K has officially unveiled the cover athletes for NBA 2K27, and this year’s trio spans three different eras of basketball stardom. Victor Wembanyama, fresh off leading the San Antonio Spurs to the 2026 NBA Finals and capturing his first Defensive Player of the Year award, headlines the Standard Edition cover ($69.99). It’s a fitting honor after a dominant season that’s cemented him as one of the league’s most unique talents.

Caitlin Clark, who’s reshaped the WNBA’s popularity over the past few years, lands the Deluxe Edition cover ($99.99) — becoming the first WNBA player ever to headline a 2K deluxe release. It’s a natural next step after Clark previously shared the spotlight with Carmelo Anthony and Angel Reese on the NBA 2K26 cover, and this year she gets a cover all her own.

Rounding things out, Chicago’s own Derrick Rose grabs the Ultra Edition cover ($149.99). This marks the second time in D-Rose’s career gracing a 2K cover, going back to NBA 2K13, a full-circle moment for the former league MVP.

NBA 2K27 arrives September 4 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2, with early access for Deluxe and Ultra Edition owners starting August 28. A full gameplay trailer is set to drop July 28, giving fans their first real look at what’s new this year, following in the footsteps of past reveals like the NBA 2K24 MyTEAM trailer.
