It almost felt like Wale was going into retirement after he dropped his album Folarin 2 back in 2021. After 2 years it was announced that he has a new home with Def Jam and delivers his first single “Max Julien.” The return comes with a video for the single bringing that old Wale feel we are used to seeing.

Very interesting return in today’s music climate. Wale at one point was as big as J. Cole, Kendrick, and even Drake. But times have changed and we will see if Wale can make another impact in music.
