NFL free agency is officially underway, and teams across the league are already making major roster moves to free up cap space and strengthen their lineups. The buzz around the league is heating up as the free agency period opened today at noon ET and will officially run through 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. With insiders like Adam Schefter breaking news throughout the day, several notable signings and roster moves have already surfaced. Below are some of the standout moves so far, and we’ll continue updating this tracker as more deals are announced.
Tua’s Time With The Dolphins Comes to an End
The Miami Dolphins are moving on from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa after releasing him today. The move creates a $99 million dead cap hit, but with a new coaching staff expected, the team appears ready to begin a new era. Miami quickly addressed the position by signing Malik Williams to a three-year deal worth $67.5 million. Williams impressed last season while filling in for Jordan Love with the Green Bay Packers.
Maxx Crosby Traded to Ravens in Blockbuster Deal

The Las Vegas Raiders are continuing their rebuild after a disappointing season that left them holding the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The team has now moved on from star defensive end Maxx Crosby, trading the 31-year-old pass rusher to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for first-round picks in 2026 and 2027. The deal gives Baltimore another elite defensive playmaker while the Raiders focus on building for the future.
UPDATE (March 10): Maxx Crosby reportedly failed his physical and the trade will not be completed. The Raiders will retain Crosby while the Ravens will receive their 2026 and 2027 first-round picks back.
Chiefs Upgrade Backfield With Kenneth Walker |||

The Kansas City Chiefs are giving Patrick Mahomes another weapon on offense after signing Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker. The dynamic running back has rushed for more than 1,000 yards and brings a major boost to a Chiefs offense that has leaned heavily on Mahomes over the past two seasons. Walker agreed to a three-year deal worth up to $45 million, giving Kansas City a proven playmaker in the backfield as they look to strengthen their offensive attack.
Mike Evans Signs With 49ers

Mike Evans is headed to the West Coast after agreeing to a three-year deal worth $60 million, including $16.3 million guaranteed. The 32-year-old wide receiver now joins a Kyle Shanahan offense led by Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey, giving San Francisco another proven weapon in the passing game. Evans’ size and red-zone ability should make him a valuable target near the goal line as the 49ers continue to build one of the league’s most dangerous offenses.
Geno Smith Traded Back to the New York Jets

Geno Smith did not have the best season last year with the Raiders, although the struggles weren’t entirely his fault. The offensive line had issues protecting him and the running game never fully got going. Now Smith is heading back to the team that originally drafted him, the New York Jets, in a deal that also includes a seventh-round pick. In return, Las Vegas receives a sixth-round pick and will reportedly take on the majority of Smith’s guaranteed money. It will be interesting to see how the veteran quarterback performs with a fresh start back on the East Coast.
