Universal Pictures is getting ready for Christmas in August, unveiling the trailer for the upcoming Violent Night 2. David Harbour returns as Santa, joined by Kristen Bell as Mrs. Claus, with Tommy Wirkola back in the director’s chair. The film is a sequel to the 2022 holiday sensation that saw an embittered Santa, armed with lethal combat skills, take out a team of mercenaries to rescue a girl and her family. This time, Santa is trying to save Christmas once again, taking on a group of mall goons disturbing the holiday vibe.
So before summer ends, you can get into the Christmas spirit with this trailer. Harbour isn’t just busy playing Santa this year, he’s also set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday. Violent Night 2 arrives in theaters December 4. Check out the trailer above.
