Eminem Achieves 11th No. 1 Album with ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’

We expected this to happen. Eminem’s fanbase is solid, and the project was very well crafted with excellent production and high-tier features. Billboard confirms that The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) moved 281,000 equivalent album units for the week ending on July 18th. Em has now gone No. 1 in 4 different decades and also scores the largest week for any rap album this year.

Impressive numbers since Hip-Hop/Rap is considered a young man’s game, but Eminem continues to defy that at 51. It’s been challenging for the genre the past few years, with Country and Taylor Swift dominating the charts.
