J. Cole Drops Surprise Mixtape ‘Birthday Blizzard’ 26
J. Cole celebrates his birthday by dropping the DJ Clue–hosted Birthday Blizzard mixtape ahead of his upcoming album The Fall Off.
J. Cole is celebrating his 41st birthday with momentum at an all-time high, just one week away from releasing his highly anticipated album The Fall Off. Leading up to the release, rumors had been circulating that a mixtape might arrive first—and today, Cole made it official. He surprised fans with Birthday Blizzard, a new mixtape hosted by DJ Clue that taps directly into classic mixtape-era energy. Complete with vintage DJ Clue drops, the project is available exclusively through Cole’s website, thefalloff.com, on a pay-what-you-want basis starting at just $1.
To kick things off, Cole released the opening track, “Bronx Zoo Freestyle,” rapping over the iconic “Victory” beat made famous by The Notorious B.I.G.. With plenty to address and anticipation continuing to build, this rollout is shaping up to be one of the most memorable moments of Cole’s career.
Last week J. Cole announced the album and dropped a new track titled “Disc 2 Track 2.”
