Lady Gaga Drops New Album ‘Harlequin’

Lady Gaga dropped a surprise album inspired by her upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux. The album is titled Harlequin, and Gaga realized she wasn’t quite ready to let go of the character she had been portraying after filming ended. This sparked the idea for an album of jazz standards, sung from Harley Quinn’s point of view. Harlequin, recorded at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La studio in Malibu, was created alongside LG7 and ties closely to the film, while still reflecting Gaga’s unique style and vision.
The project has 17 tracks and is more of a musical. It has a different sound from Lady Gaga’s that we are used to hearing, but we expect the project to do well-streaming numbers. You can find the streaming links below.
Joker: Folie à Deux will be in theaters October 4th.
