NFL’s Active Free Agency: Standout Moves to Shake the League

The NFL season might be over but the “legal tampering” is in full effect until tomorrow at 4 p.m. ET. During this period, teams are permitted to engage in contract negotiations with certified agents representing players slated to become unrestricted free agents in the upcoming league year for a duration of 52 hours.

There have been so many moves around the league and next season will be exciting. Saquon Barkley in our opinion was a shocking move heading to the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles had to make a move after their #1 RB D’Andre Swift agreed to terms with the Chicago Bears on a 3-year deal worth $24 million. Giants vs Eagles is going to be a good matchup next season. Saquon dropped a very edit yesterday on his Twitter and you can check it out below.

We have out top 10 free agent moves this offseason below:

  1. Saquon Barkley, RB, New team: New York Giants
  2. Kirk Cousins, QB, New team: Atlanta Falcoms
  3. Russell Wilson, QB, New team: Pittsburgh Steelers
  4. D’Andre Swift, QB, New team: Chicago Bears
  5. Christin Wilkins, DT, New team: Las Vegas Raiders
  6. Josh Jacobs, RB, New team: Green Bay Packers
  7. Aaron Jones, RB, New team: Minnesota Vikings
  8. Derrick Henry, RB, New team: Baltimore Ravens
  9. Austin Ekeler, RB, New team: Washington Commanders
  10. Tony Pollard, RB, New team: Tennessee Titans

Numerous running backs changed teams this offseason, intensifying the volatility of this position. Teams lean towards drafting younger players and refraining from offering long-term contracts to existing ones, further contributing to the unpredictability. This is only the beginning before the league prepares for the 2024 NFL Draft which is set to take place April 25-27.
