The Nightmare Returns: From Ja 2 to Ja 4

The NBA kicked off that season with a healthy Ja Morant ready to play — the shoulder had healed, and he was electric on the court. He also had a lovely signature shoe with Nike, unveiling the Nike Ja 2 “Nightmare” in time for Halloween.

That addition to Nike’s Ja Basketball Halloween-themed collection featured a striking red, black, and gold color scheme, ideally suited for the season. Following the release of the Ja 1 in a “Halloween” colorway the year before, this pair took the boldness up a notch. Most of the sneaker was dressed in “University Red,” creating a vivid base, while “Celestial Gold” accented the branding, adding a touch of contrast. “Black” wrapped around the heel and extended onto the midsole section, completing the look with a sleek and eerie finish that tied together the spooky aesthetic.
