Kevin Durant and Nike are back with another heartfelt installment in their ongoing tribute series dedicated to his late Aunt Pearl. This time, the sentimental theme finds its way onto the KD 17, honoring her memory with thoughtful design touches and details. The KD 17 features a unique touch on the heel, where the initials “AP” (Aunt Pearl) and “KD” are carefully placed on the left and right shoes, respectively, symbolizing the close bond Durant shared with his aunt. Each release in this series celebrates Aunt Pearl’s influence on Durant’s life and continues to raise awareness for breast cancer—a cause close to both his and his family’s heart.
