Paige Bueckers Goes No. 1 to Dallas Wings in 2025 WNBA Draft
Washington Mystics Stock Up with Three First-Round Picks
It was time for Paige Bueckers to take on the WNBA. Despite battling multiple major knee injuries throughout her career, she capped off her collegiate career with a long-awaited national championship this year. The Dallas Wings made the right decision and picked Paige with the first overall pick in the first round of the WNBA. This very talented class included players from the NCAA and internationally. The Seattle Storm added some depth with France’s 6’6″ Dominique Malonga.
The Washington Mystics had three picks in the first round, selecting Sonia Cintron from Notre Dame, Kiki Iriafen from USC, and Georgia Amoore from Kentucky. This will boost the Mystics roster and set them up for a long run in the WNBA for the years to come. Other notable selections is Saniya Rivers from NC heading to the Connecticut Sun and Hailey Van Lith heading to the Chicago Sky reuniting with Angel Reese.
