Pitchfork Festival in Chicago Canceled After 19-Year Run

Pitchfork Festival Chicago canceled

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. Today, the Pitchfork editorial team shared the sad news that the Chicago music festival will not return in 2025. The festival took place in Chicago’s Union Park for 19 years, showcasing performances by renowned bands and artists such as James Blake, Black Pumas, Bon Iver, The Roots, Tame Impala, and many others.

Music is evolving, and there is increasing competition in the industry. More festivals are being hosted, but attendance has been declining over the years. While it may be a financially sound decision for Pitchfork, fans who are accustomed to attending this festival in late July will certainly miss it. Tough news for the City of Chicago and music fans.

Thanks for the memories, Pitchfork.
