Russell Wilson Wilson and The Pittsburgh Steelers Agree To One-Year Deal

Russell Wilson and Pittsburgh Steelers

Things didn’t go as planned for Russell Wilson in Denver. Statistically, he didn’t do too badly. He posted an 11-19 record and threw for 6,594 yards, 42 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions. Sean Payton came in and it was clear the two weren’t on the same page. By week 17 Wilson was benched and his tenure in Denver was over.

He will get a second chance in Pittsburgh for the Steelers after signing a 1-year deal. This is an interesting move by the Steelers because we thought Kenny Pickett was the future so now he might become the backup for Wilson.  The Steelers don’t have much to lose and it’s only a 1 year deal paid by the Broncos. Great deal for Russell’s bank account. We can’t wait for training camp in the NFL to open up.
