UEFA 2024 Champions League Quarter-Finals: Man. City vs. Real Madrid Highlights

It was an early final in Etihad Stadium.

In leg 2 of the quarter-finals, the star-studded Manchester City hosted Real Madrid in a heavyweight clash. Despite being the heavy favorite due to home advantage and talent, Man City’s aspirations were halted by Real Madrid’s experience and exceptional coaching.

Rodrygo scored in the 12th minute, and then Carlo Ancelotti’s squad defended resolutely. They contained Haaland for the majority of the game, conceding only one goal in the 76th minute. After the 80th minute, the plan was clear: hold off Man City and rely on the goalkeepers. Real Madrid executed the strategy, clinching victory in penalty kicks under Ancelotti’s guidance, edging them one step closer to the final. However, a formidable challenge against Bayern awaits.
