Mickey Mouse is now officially in the public domain. After 95 years the copyright has expired this January 2024 which means anyone can now use the Steamboat Willie version of Mickey Mouse without fear of infringement.

So now we are about to get a new horror film titled Mickey Mouse Trap. Yes Mickey Mouse is the killer behind director Jamie Bailey’s vision. The film stars Sophie McIntosh, Callum Sywyk, Allegra Nocita, Ben Harris, Damir Kovic, Mackenzie Mills, Nick Biskupek and Simon Phillips. It’s a little different but this is what the public domain brings us.
