What’s Behind Yeat and Travis Scott’s Beef?
Yeat seems to be feeling some type of way. He just dropped a new song and video titled “On Nothing,” which appears to take aim at Travis Scott. The track is on-brand for Yeat, who’s built a signature sound and a fanbase that shows up every time he drops. He never names Travis directly, but the bars get pointed: “I don’t fuck with Flame, not a lot to say, if I saw a candle, I’d shush it.” Travis Scott has long gone by the “La Flame” persona, so the line reads as a clear, if indirect, shot. La Flame doesn’t seem too worried, though, fans on X claimed he joined Kanye West onstage during Ye’s sold-out Soldier Field homecoming shows in Chicago this week.
The timing is notable, this comes just days after Yeat’s verse mysteriously vanished from “Eaters,” his originally-featured track on Young Thug’s Slime Language 3 alongside Travis, Future, and Tezzus. Fans speculated at the time that another artist on the song gave Thug an ultimatum, and “On Nothing” seems to confirm who that was.
“On Nothing” follows Yeat’s latest album, ADL, which dropped back in March, and comes not long after he linked up with EsDeeKid for the “Made It On Our Own” video.
