Christian McCaffrey Gets The ‘Madden NFL 25’ Cover
Christian McCaffrey has been named the cover athlete for Madden NFL 25, becoming the first San Francisco 49ers player to appear on the cover of the iconic video game franchise. The star running back earns the honor after another dominant season with the 49ers.

Madden 25 season is here.
For the first time in franchise history, a Niner is honored to grace the cover of the legendary Madden series. Josh Allen proved last year that the Madden curse is not absolute and had a solid plus healthy season with the Buffalo Bills after gracing the Madden 24 cover. For Madden 25, Christian McCaffrey gets the cover after having a massive season and losing in the Super Bowl against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
We hope CMC can stay healthy and have another solid season for the San Francisco 49ers. The league needs him and the season is always exciting when he’s on the field putting up yards and scoring TDs.
Fans who pre-order Madden NFL 25 will get a three-day early access period, 4,600 Madden points, and more. The official release date is August 16, and pre-order is now open via ea.com. Check out the covers above and below.
Since Christian McCaffrey graced the cover of Madden NFL 25, EA Sports has continued featuring some of the league’s biggest stars. Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley later landed the Madden NFL 26 cover, while Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was revealed as the cover athlete for Madden NFL 27 following his breakout sophomore season.
