Week 3 of the NFL kicks off this Thursday night at Lambeau Field. The Atlanta Falcons head to Green Bay at 0-2 and in desperate need of a win against the Packers. The Falcons are dead last in the league in points per game, averaging only 8, and they really need to get Bijan Robinson going. The big story of the night: Michael Penix Jr. is set to make his season debut, returning from a torn ACL to start under center for the first time this year.
For the Packers, this is their home opener, and they’re a bit banged up too. They’ll be without Jayden Reed, who’s out with a neck injury, and Micah Parsons remains sidelined recovering from his own torn ACL. Both teams are far from full strength, and it’ll be worth watching how the Falcons perform outside their home dome in noticeably colder weather. We might have a good one on Thursday night.
